Fitness is defined as 'the ability to carry out daily tasks with vigor and alertness, without undue fatigue, and with ample energy to enjoy leisure-time pursuits and respond to emergencies.' Based on this definition, fitness involves everything from getting out of bed to hiking to performing CPR.
In order to complete all of these tasks, one must consistently address their fitness levels. This requires proper conditioning through both structured exercise and leisurely activities.

It is a state of relatively equilibrium of body form and function which result from its successful dynamic adjustment to forces tending to disturb it. Regular physical activity along with a nutritious diet is the key to maintain a healthy life. Creating awareness on health and physical fitness is a big challenge in the socially and economically weaker section people in any country. To inculcate the knowledge and awareness of importance and benefits of health and physical fitness, there is a great need to include health education in the education system of India. Regular physical activity along with good habits will lead to positive life style which in turn yields happiness and joy.
